Welcome to Central Florida's home for film and video post production professionals. We are an informal organization of working editors, dedicated to fostering community and building our craft.
Our meetings are open to anyone in the production or post field. Meetings are scheduled on a quarterly basis and usually held at Adrenaline Films or other locations in the greater Orlando area. The topics will be of special interest to Avid and Final Cut users, but we cover a wide range of subjects, so there's always something to learn. Meeting notices are sent via e-mail, so please contact us to be added to the mailing list.

Requirements For Avid Editor
Our Editors scope of work can range from being involved in every stage of the video, and overseeing the project from start to finish or working with in-house producers doing post production only. Essentially the editors/ producers are team leaders, they are supported by production assistants, working with account executives and or directly with the clients depending on the size of the project.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have four or more year’s corporate / broadcast editing experience, preferably in a HD production environment, with advanced skills in Avid Media Composer, Avid Nitris DX, All Avid Plug-in Software, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
4 + years experience as a Avid video editor.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize as needed.
Willingness to work long hours and weekends
Software Requirements: Graphics design on the following applications: Avid DS, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator..... Able to edit/composite using Avid/DS
Able to create graphics work within the edited projects
Final Cut Studio, Cinema 4-D not required but a plus
Reading, researching and assessing ideas
Working with Writers/Creative Directors
Working with Account executives
Building and developing a network of contacts
Creative Conceptualizations
Project Scheduling
Work closely with client
Controlling the budget and allocating resources
Pulling together all the strands of creative and practical talent involved in the project
Technical Troubleshooting
Qualified Candidates to be familiar with color correction techniques and encoding
Previous experience acting as a Video Editor for an post production company or production company is a plus.
Please keep in mind that advanced Avid skills are a must and that you will be expected to demonstrate your knowledge of Avid during the first or second interview.
Candidates with shooting and producing experience a plus.
Candidates to be local to SE Florida or willing to relocating here within the next month.
All candidates must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
Bi Lingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.
